Build a custom sensitive info type
A custom sensitive information type in Microsoft Purview. The built-in types recognize credit cards and identity numbers, but not your own projects. We create Restricted projects with one pattern: a keyword list with the code names Falcon, Nordlys and Orion, case insensitive with word match, anywhere in the document, at high confidence. We find it with the Publisher filter, test it with a file, and see where it can be used: DLP, eDiscovery and auto-labeling.

WHY A CUSTOM SIT
Purview doesn't know your projects
More than 300 built-in types recognize card numbers, identity numbers
and passwords. None of them know what your organization works on.
Contoso has three projects that must not be shared outside:
A custom SIT turns the code names into something DLP can act on.

Purview knows credit cards and identity numbers,
but not your projects. We build a SIT from a list of
project code names, test it with a file, and see
